Modern Centre Electrical & Sanitary LLC is the MEP Division of Abu Hatim Group. The Division had humble beginnings with a turnover of around OMR.1 Million, a couple of decades back. THE PURCHASE DEPARTMENT
The Purchase Department is the heart of Operations of the Abu Hatim Group and I am extremely happy and proud to be a part of the group and to be leading the Department. The team is equipped with well qualified and hardworking professionals who are involved in every facet of the process that comprises of procurement, transportation, storage and distribution to respective Project sites.
The core objective of the Department is to procure products at the right sources complying to the specifications that have been set out to specific projects and to source the materials in right quantities without exceeding the threshold buffer set for wastage.
The evaluation and selection of the suppliers are carried out through a carefully throughout systematic process, to ensure prompt delivery of materials with the highest possible quality standards. Based on these standards the Department carries out continuous evaluation of the existing supplies and their respective performance.
Another core responsibility of the Department is to fore see the market trends in terms of price increases, shortfall in supplies, increase in demands, if any and to assess the overall implications of these trends on the projects. Based on the assessment a frame works is developed to mitigate any negative implications.
The vision of the Department is to transform the entire process to be carried out on e-procurement platforms thereby eliminating the paper works, improving accuracy and achieving significant reduction in errors. The whole team is working timelessly to achieve it and contribute significantly to the further growth of the company.

THE TENDERING DEPARTMENT
The Tendering Department plays an important role in procuring new projects and acts as a catalyst to the growth of the Company. The Department has a team of well qualified estimations and quantity surveyors, who work with great enthusiasm to achieve highest levels of precision in the bids that are being made. The Department uses custom made software systems for estimation and tending which are tailor made to efficiently achieve the strategic objectives that are set by the company and meet the growth targets.

Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)

THE PLANT & MACHINERY
The Plant & Machinery Department: is one of the key departments within the Abu Hatim Group carrying out the vital task of maintaining, servicing and ensuring the good conditions of our Plants & Machineries.
Plant & Machinery Department has well qualified and hardworking technical personnel which includes Plant Engineer, Supervisors, Foremen and Technicians who are actively involved in day to day operations like predictive maintenance, periodical maintenance and rectification of breakdowns.
The Plant & Machinery services was streamlined into a full-fledged department, equipped with state of art facilities, in the year of 2011 co-including with the start of the Roads & Bridges Division.
The core responsibilities of this department is to give full support to all Projects by providing periodical maintenance services and break down repairs on war footing on urgent basis to all Vehicles, Plant & Machineries and ensure there are no major delays as a result of meet factors. We also have the responsibility to fore see likely failures and take necessary measures to prevent the same thus ensuring zero off roads a daily basis.
The key objective is to ensure the least possible off roads. The department is aware of the scale of the capital that has been invested on the Plant & Machinery and the absolute necessity to maintain and keep it running to retrieve the optimum return on investment and all the systems and processes an oriented to achieve this objective.

Logistics plays a key role in every Industry of its significance is paramount, especially in the construction sector.
The logistics department in Abu Hatim plays a key role in ensuring that all the logistical necessities of the project and that of the personal core met with swiftly and efficiently.
The department was started in 2000 and had a rather humble beginning handling only a handful of vehicle. It could proudly be stated that from the above mentioned period, the company has grown leaps of bounds and has added a 600plus strong arsenal of light and heavy vehicles.
With growth comes challenges, the department has continually evoked along with the rapid growth of the company and has consistently updated and upgraded its facilities and process to maintain pace and complement the growth of the company.
We take a systematic and well planned approach in allocating vehicles to the project, personal and other H.O activates. The prime objective of the department is to provide a bay supportive role to the core operations of the company. Surprises are not always pleasant, especially in case of logistics, as huge costs are involved to address any vehicular availability. Lag that comes to the notice of the department in the 11th hour. So we conduct regular collaborative meeting with all departments including project teams, purchase, store and finance etc., to meticulously what the demand would be and what the supply has to be. Based on this assessment, proposals are sent to the management and further process are initiated.
Optimum utilization of resources is at the core of our values and to complement this a great deal of importance is given to the maintenance of all the vehicle of multiple categories and swiftly addressing the problems if any in coordination with our plant and machinery team.
